Growing up in Cloverdale, Holly was one of the neighborhood girls. I guess we met sometime around kindergarten, and remained friends till she passed away. Holly's death was a true tragedy, and I am sure that the rest of the kids from Cloverdale feel the same way. Susan, Laura, Shannon, Scarlett, Douglas, John...(I know I am leaving a few out)....we all loved Holly.
I remember Holly as a natural beauty. She was athletic, never needed makeup, and extremely loyal. One of the funniest memories I have of her was the 8th grade Valentine dance at CJHS. Scarlett, Shannon, Holly and some more of us went as a group, at some point during the dance Holly and I switched dates! Later that night we all ended up at Western Sizzler. I regret not being mature enough to see how deep she was hurting all those years. When I think of her, I can still hear that crazy laugh.
One memory I have of Holly was in junior high, about 7th grade, when she came to my house for a sleepover. My parents were always super strict, so when we asked to jump on a neighbor's trampoline, they said no. Holly and I went anyway, taking turns doing back flips. On one of Holly's turns she hit her head on the metal bar surrounding the trampoline. HER head was bleeding, and I was the one crying. She refused to tell my parents for fear we'd/I'd get into trouble. Thankfully, the next day we went to her grandfather's lake house (he was a doctor), and he said she was fine. She was always a good friend to me.
As one of the Cloverdale Elementary kids, I too remeber Holly from very early in childhood. My heart breaks to hear this tragic news. I think of Holly as very sweet and kind. Like Johnette, I hope that she has found peace.
Holly and I were friends since the first grade. I have fond memories of playing at her house and her at mine. Growing up in Cloverdale, we all ran around togheter, especially during the summers. I still remember the phone call we got when she died, it was very tragic what she went through. She was a very funny, nice, loyal friend who just wanted to fit in.
Holly was one of the sweetest people! Holly, Robin and I used to have a blast. I remember skipping school and hiding from her mom, delivering mail in Cloverdale. I am sad to know she is gone!

I feel so bad that I am just hearing about Holly's death. She was such a sweet person and never was in a bad mood. She was kind to everyone.
