Karen Buck Braucher

Went to University of Central Ar. and roomed with Christie Henson for 6months and then transferred back to UALR. Went to Nursing School with Tonda Bowen and Lori Buck and graduated in 1982. Worked for 6 years at Arkansas Children's Hospital in the PICU (with Tonda). Met my husband there and moved to his home town in Georgia where I have lived for the last 20years. I was fortunate to be able to do the stay-at-home thing with my children for 15years. I have recently re-entered the nursing profession as a full-time Hospice Nurse,and absolutely love my job. I am planning on attending the reunion in July and can't wait to see everyone again.

My life was primarily Cheerleading and Student Council with Academics at the bottom of my priority list! What was I thinking? I remember Study Hall with Christy Henson teaching us how to do manicures (my kids just shake their heads.) and slipping into Mrs. Trotter's English class always late with Steve Harrelson grinning in disbelief that I never got caught. I believe Janna Lowry and I both wound up falling off a pyramid called Towering Inferno and sustaining fractures and hobbling around in casts for a season. All in all my memories of McClellan High School are good ones but I would never want to go back and repeat that stage again!
