After 3 years at UALR, I transferred to Texas A&M to complete my BS in Electrical Engineering. I then went to work for Rockwell International in Dallas as a hardware engineer. I shortly realized that engineering was really not for me and went back and got my MBA from University of Texas at Dallas and then moved into Marketing.
I moved up to Sr. Director of Marketing at Rockwell/Alcatel, and married Fred Hartgraves who had a wonderful son Drew (3 yrs old when I married Fred - now 33) who is like my own (I raised him and he calls me mom). We then had 3 more children, Blake (now 26) and twins, Paige and Taylor (now 23) and then divorced in 2000 after 10 years of marriage.
After 17 years at Rockwell/Alcatel, I took a chance and moved to a start up telecom company in 2000 as the VP of Marketing and Product Management. Then the telecom industry took a dive and in 2003 this company went out of business. I quickly got a job at another company as VP of Sales and Marketing only to have them go out of business a year later as well - the telecom industry was just terrible during those years. So I went to Sanmina-SCI (non-telecom) as a Business Development Manager (Sales) for 7 years and have now been at Plexus Corp (acontract manufacturer) in Sales for 7 years.
Meanwhile, I married my wonderful husband, Mark in 2002 and we have a great time with the kids and traveling! I love to scrapbook and I am a Creative Memories consultant on the side. Mark is an avid biker - both road bikes and mountain bikes and he competes in both of those areas.
My children are my joy and they are all very active and, of course, that takes most of my time. Drew is now married to Alyssa and in the Navy and stationed in San Diego, CA and we don't get to see him enough! They have a son Benjamin(Benji) who is 3mo Old. Blake graduated from Texas A&M with BS in Biology and is married to his high school sweetheart Lori with a daughter on the way. Paige graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in HR and works in Houston. Taylor graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Applied Exercise Physiology and is almost finished with her Masters in Occupational Therapy at UTMB in Galveston. I have been truly blessed with a wonderful family!
