John Liguori (Class of 1967)
My synopsis
1967 – After graduation, I completed my education specializing in Information Systems.
1971 – I entered the business world as a computer programmer and in a few years got into management. I have been an IT Executive since the late 70’s in NJ, VA, GA and Florida.
1976 – I got married and had a daughter (Alicia) followed by a son (Michael) in
1979. Since then I have
lived in South Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland and Florida.
1977 – 1984 I took a break from my career and bought a marina and restaurant in Virginia on Smith Mountain Lake. I had a blast doing this.
1985 – I went back to my career in management because of the Boeing Company making me an offer I could not refuse. I built a home in the NJ Cherry Hill area and moved back to NJ.
1996 – My career took me to Atlanta GA.
2004 – I ventured into a business in the IT arena. My partners and I decided to make Florida our home base so I purchased a home and have lived there on and off ever since going into business.
2005 – The first of my 3 grandchildren was born. I enjoy spoiling them.
2016 – I retired. I am still an owner in the business but I only spend a few hours a month providing oversight. As a result of my new found freedom, I fulfilled my dream of living on a boat on the Chesapeake Bay that year.
2017 – I changed my home base to Georgia. I have been divorced a very long time and met a wonderful lady (Amy) who is my guest at this reunion. We will be getting married in a couple of months. I am currently residing (home base) in Johns Creek, Georgia, but I also continue spending time at my place in
New Jersey and Florida.
RETIREMENT IS AWSOME.
For phase 2, I plan to fulfill my dream of living in Tuscany for an extended
period of time.
