Krista Summers Sims

Mark and I married in 1991 and traveled with his Navy Seabee career until 2003 when we moved back to Loogootee to be closer to home. We lived in Sicily from 1991-1995, Great Lakes, IL from 1995-1998, California until 2000, Gulfport, Mississippi from 2000-2003. I finished Xray school in 1998 and have worked in that field since. We have 2 girls now attending Loogootee Community School systems.

I guess one of my favorite things about attending Loogootee is the smaller school atmosphere. I didn't always feel that way, but having travelled quite a bit, I can say that now. That was one of the reasons we decided to move back to this area. Probably my favorite actual school memory was the year we went to the semi-state in Terre Haute. We had so much fun. My mom wanted to know the name of the hotel we stayed in. I can remember telling her and hoping she never saw it, because it was a sleeze bag hotel. We had a blast though!!! We laughed so hard and there must have been 30 of us crammed into 2 rooms. Fun Times!!!
