School Story:
My brother David and I then opened an upscale kids clothing store in Sottsdale.......apparently old
retailing habits are hard to break. It was a fun run, and
it lasted 9 years.
By this time my daughter had moved to Kansas City, and my son was away at college. I was ready to move on.
Arrived in Overland Park 16 years ago, and have remained here. Worked as a store manager in Mimi (and her husband Bob's) furniture stores until 2005, and
then retired permanently.
Travel: Somewhere between these moves we lived in Hong Kong for 6 months...and traveled to China, Russia,
Israel, Iceland.
On being a grandmother: The whole grandmother thing is
delicious and so much fun. Jeffrey and his family live in Fairfax, VA.; and Carole and her family live just a few miles away from me.
The other Lehman siblings: Norton passed away in 1991,
We lost David just last year. Sam, who is a neurologist,
and his family live just a few blocks away. Mimi and her
husband retired to Mesquite, NV; and Lainie, who still teaches, and her husband live in Laguna Niguel, CA.
A huge thank-you to George, Jim, Sandra, and Nick for
putting this reunion together. No small task. And how
fantastic that so many of us are planning to attend. it has
been so great to reconnect with old friends...Jackie G., Willa, Susan, and to learn a little of the "past lives"
of other good friends and classmates.
Really looking forward to seeing EVERYONE, and to sharing stories, old and new.
