Every Christmas since David and I have been married(12 years). We go shopping to pick out personal ornaments, then we hang them on our tree. When Sarah and Cliff grow up, get married etc.., they will have a box of ornaments to start their family tree with. It's something that we look forward to every year!

How I met David Short.
I was not looking for a boyfriend, just out with the girls from work and my mom. We went to a bar named Time Out Lounge to sing Karaoke. (I had never been there before). David was hanging out w/ the DJ Bruce (Scott Dillander's cousin). He was singing songs like "Hello" by Lionel Richie, "Purple Rain" by Prince and drinking a Pepsi, and my mom just that thought that was the greatest thing she had every seen (he was not drinking alcohol),so she spent the whole night trying to fix us up. I was so embarrassed that the very next night I had my friend take me back to the same bar and find him (I couldn't even remember his name). I wanted to apologize for her behavior, so we talked and exchanged numbers and a week later we went on a date.
I remember very clearly that night we were riding down Taylor Blvd and I just happened to ask him his last name when he said "Short" I thought to myself "Kristie Short". It just sounded right and 1 year later to the date David and I got married at Arcade Baptist Church. 6-29-96.

Just finished my first year coaching Sarah's cheer squad. We had lots of fun and learned alot. Looking forward to the holidays and spending time with family. David and I booked a cruise for Spring Break in 2010. So have something to look forward to next year. I'm still working at my new office, it's peaceful, I can actually hear myself think.
