Mary Beth passed in 1993 of a brain aneurysm. She fought for three days in the hospital before she died on Mother's Day. She left behind a 13-month-old son, Lance. Mary Beth’s mom and dad are raising Lance. He is 16.

I remember playing volleyball with Mary Beth. She would come home with me sometimes after practice.

I remember our 7 or 8th grade year. We hung out that summer and we went to St. Rita's summer picnic. We carried around this pink comb. You remember those fat combs that you would carry in your Jordache jeans back pocket? That one. I think it was hers. We would follow these boys around...different boys all night. When they stopped, we would stop, flip our bangs back with the comb, and pose. Acting like we didn't see them of course. Then, when they would ignore us, (and they did) we'd start following the next group. I wonder if she'd remember that? We were such dorks trying to be so cool.

The picture posted above is me and MaryBeth after the Hall and Oates concert. It was our first concert and we were so excited! We spent more time watching guys then we did watching the show. Afterwards, we came back to my house and had a sleepover in the tent in the backyard. I remember MaryBeth as being a really good friend and a genuine person and I will miss her.

I remember Mary Beth and I getting into a fight on one the church field trips we took in 8th grade (over something stupid). We both were made to sit in Mrs. Glaser's office the following day while everyone else went on another field trip,(actually we sat in the supply closet in Mrs. Glaser's office). We had so much fun that we both ended up with detention the following day because we couldn't stop laughing.
Mary Beth was a true friend, fun loving, full of life with a twisted sense of humor. We always had a blast at her house after school. I don't think St. Rita would have been the same without her. She will be sadly missed. May she rest in peace.

I remember LOTS about Marybeth Pfeiffer. WOW! Had "you" taken the chance to REALLY get to know her, you would have liked her.

She was funny, daring, and enjoyed "stalking" those boys. LOL

I remember MANY fun times & extremely loooong "spilled-gutts" kind of conversations with her.

The walks we'd go on & for hours, then realize we better get back because the houses no longer looked familar.

Rest In Peace, Marybeth. You truly were someone special! :)
