After graduation I went to Miami University where I met Shari. We were married after my first year of Med School (Ohio State) and had our first child after my first year of residency (Brittany). Allison followed 3 years later. After my general surgery residency, we went to Misawa Japan for 3 years, then Bitburg Germany for 3 years (where I became a F-16 flight surgeon as well as maintaining my surgery practice), then Wright-Patt for 2 years, followed by 2 years at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA where I was the Medical Operations Commander. I now work at Peterson AFB in Co Springs, CO where I am the Aeromedical Services Division Chief for AF Space Command and also do surgery at Fort Carson one day a week. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan where I am the Med Ops Commander at Bagram Airfield. Doing great stuff here and we are getting more paitents than ever in the history of the war, which has me operating more than I ever have in the Air Force. All in all, the AF has been good to my family and I am very sorry that I will be missing the reunion!
