Mindy Joiner Robbins

After graduation, I attended Tech for a couple of years. I left Lubbock in ’88, moved back to NM (home state) and then, shortly thereafter, moved to Arlington, Texas. I went to work for Hyatt Hotels in January ‘89 and stayed with them for 11 years…great company! During that same time, I married and had (3) children, Aaron, Andrew and Madeleine. Then, in an effort to continue hotel promotion, I left Hyatt and went to work for the Wyndham Anatole …another great job! Stayed with them almost (4) years. Left Wyndham to open the Gaylord Resort, in Grapevine, Texas, where I was the Director of Convention Services for almost (3) years. I brought my hotel career to a close in 2006. I made the decision to spend more time with my family (no more 14-16 hour days) and was fortunate to land a job in software sales (half the hours / twice the pay…why didn’t I figure this out 10 years earlier). I work from home and love every minute of it! We now have a forth child (Emily) living with us (long story) so needless to say, life is very busy. Life is wonderful!
