Comments:

After graduating from Ohio University, I spent 9 years as a reporter and later News Director for WOUB Radio and Television at Ohio University in Athens. From there, I went to Washington D.C as Communications Director for Reps. John Kasich, who chaired the House Budget Committee in the 90s., and Pat Tiberi. Both of them represented the Columbus area (Pat still does). I was fortunate enough to be able to retire in 2007.

Current interests include sports (things haven't changed that much, remember I was sports editor of the ArcLite for a while), and 19th and 20th century history. I serve on the Ohio Literacy Network's board of directors and am active in my condo association. Look for me in Vegas, I visit there 3-4 time a year. You can find me in the sportsbook or at the video poker machines.

UPDATE, SEPT. 9, 2014

Still living in Dublin, OH and enjoying life. Will complete 2 busy terms on my condo board soon. (NOTE TO SELF: DON'T DO THIS AGAIN!) Reasonably good health, although I fell while walking across a wet spillway in March and fractured my left greater trochanter (part of the hip...NOTE TO SELF: DON'T DO THIS AGAIN!) Healed on its own, thankfully. But injury forced cancellation of trip to FL where I had hoped to see Scott Maybaum. Hoping to make it to Cleveland for a Browns game this fall.

Also wanted to mention that a classmate, Scott Eyman, has written a new biography of John Wayne that has received several good reviews. Scott has written a number of books about Hollywood and film stars of old. I plan to read the Wayne book soon...

School Story:

Lots of memories, good and otherwise. I can still recall sneaking out with Gordy Ramstom during lunch period to go to his house, where his mom would make us lunch.

And the day after classes ended, Ray Tiltins and I loaded up his volkswagan beetle and went to NYC for a week. I was shocked my parents allowed me to go, I think it was the first time I'd been out of their sight for more than 48 hrs.

A couple of great teachers, Bill Thombs and Jim Humpal. I'll have to look his name up, but there was a chemistry teacher who, about once a month, told us to close our books and then just wanted us to discuss what was going on in the world.

Many of you know/knew my sister, Betsy, who was a year behind us. She's alive, well, living just outside D.C., and...drumroll...retires on Friday, May 1 from her job as a manager in the Inspector General's Office, U.S. Postal Service. She tells me that they'll come and deactivate all her electronics at 11 a.m. After that, party time. She raised two great kids, my nephew Max, 25, and my niece Sam, 23.
