Thomas Andrew "Jake" Jacobsen passed away at sea in South America on February 10, 2012. Tom was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1945. He is preceded by his parents, Mary and Arthur Jacobsen; his brother, Don (Beverly). Tom is survived by his loving wife, Gaye; sister, Marilyn Jacobsen; son, Greg (Moira) Jacobsen; daughters, Jill (Al) Durante and Lauren Jacobsen; three grandchildren. Tom graduated from the University of Connecticut and was a successful CPA for a Big 5 accounting firms. He was an avid golfer and was even a professional for a while out of college. A Memorial Service will be held at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ironwood Ridge Golf program at 2475 W. Naranja Dr., Oro Valley, AZ 85742.
