Deborah Hudson Hannan

I graduated with a BS in Education from Ohio Dominican University, married in 1970, and taught school for a year in Columbus before moving to North Canton. We have lived in North Canton, Ohio now for 32 years! Just can't believe how fast time flies by! We have 5 children, 10 grandchildren and a toy poodle! I have been at my current teaching job for 17 years in the North Canton City Schools teaching special education. Children have been my heart and we have fostered 37 children over the years when my own children were growing up. My husband is retired/disabled due to health challenges as a result of Agent Orange exposure in Viet Nam. He is legally blind, has diabetes, heart condition and kidney failure. Our daughter, Nikki, however, donated one of her kidneys to her father and were transplanted in February of 2008. What a blessing! I look forward to doing some traveling and my Bucket List is getting longer and longer!

MHS was a blast! I look back with many fond memories! I loved being a part of the "M" section and the school dances were always a lot of fun. Friendships were many and I treasure them to this day....even more than my college friends. Seems like people were more "real" back then and the community showed much pride. I think Mansfield was a nice place to grow up. It's neat to see a lot of my colleagues now involved in the schools of our hometown.
