Donald Lewis Taylor, 55, died in Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.
Mr. Taylor was born to Fox and Mellie Taylor in Mansfield, and was a life long resident.
He was presently employed as a social worker with Manci for the past seven years; was a member of Latter Rain Church Of God In Christ, the NAACP, the National Council of Phi Alpha Honor Society of the Delta Zeta Chapter; and was currently pursuing his master's degree in Social Work from Akron University of which he would have graduated in May.
Don is survived by his mother, Mellie of Mansfield; two sisters, Warlene (John) Fowler of Mansfield and Lora Champion of Cleveland; two brothers, Walter B. Taylor and Roy Taylor, both of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fox; and two sisters, Cloraphine Leech and Minnie Jackson.
Services: Friends may call Friday after 2 in the Ruth Anna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Services where the family will receive friends from 6-8. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 10 a.m. In the Latter Rain C.O.G.I.C. By his pastor, Elder Louis Blevins. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The family will also receive friends at the home of Don's niece, Stephanie Scott, 1372 Bonnie Drive from 6-9 p.m. Daily from Thursday through Saturday.
