Alan graduated from ASU in 1986 and began a career in the retail sector, and just surpassed 20 years of service. He married Frances Cockrum, who he met at ASU, and they have 3 sons: Daniel, Sanders and Aaron. Alan and his family reside in Pine Bluff. Interests include: family, hunting, fishing, sports, 4 wheeler riding,"honey do's" around the house, and is an active member of FUMC in PB.

The Class of '83 was an awesome group of guys and gals. Some top of mind memories include: Word Pac, Writing Good Sentences, reciting poetry to Dr. Gist, Coach Raney's after shave, Coach Jones' laugh, Coach Harris' shlope(in geometry), Coach Dupuy's "spirit" licks, Ms. Mo's smile, making wine in Tucker's science class, stealing the "gong" from Marvell's bell, Chad's ankle injury, and an undefeated regular season in football our senior year. Is there a shrine somewhere in the school where Bowman's and Barnes' forearm pads were officially retired?
