Darla Jane Johnson Long

After graduation, I came to Columbus, Oh to attend Business College, where I graduated from Columbus Business University. I was married in 1968 and divorced in 2005. During that time, we had two children Patti & Kevin. We spent many of our years going places with the kids and were active band boosters in their later years of school. We enjoyed many years camping, fishing, boating and Western Square Dancing. I went back to full time work for Ohio State University in 1981 as a Purchasing Assistant and then a Purchasing Manager doing buying for the University.
Since my divorce, I continued working until this year and retired with 31 years of service with Ohio State Univ.
I have done some traveling since then. Spending time in, Marietta and Florida and just returned from two weeks in Gulf Shores, Alabama with my friends.
My days are spent, keeping up my house, caring for my dog, Roxie a Fox Terrier. I also found that I needed to get out more so recently I joined the church choir and Curves an exercise group. In my spare time, I enjoy being out doors, whether it be mowing the lawn, working in the flower beds or walking around the block or going to football games to see my granddaughter in the marching band. My interest indoors is watching football, (especially the Buckeye’s), reading, music, playing games on the IPad, cooking/baking, going out to eat or to a movie or just plain quiet time. The rest of my time is spent enjoying my family or babysitting my two Great-Grand daughters.

Some of my memories are of the good times that we all shared throughout the years. Many of them happening at Washington School and others in high school. We had, and still have a great class 1962.
