Another friend lost. I am feeling my mortality when this happens. It makes me want to see everyone and know we will be OK. To the family, Steve was a very good man, sorry for the loss that has occured to you and us.
My twin sister narcie and I lived next door to steve when my family lived with our grandparents narcie and charlie blalock for a short time. Then when we would visit them we would always hope that steve would be home. I remember a grey stone wall we were sam Houston elementary students together. I'm sad to hear of Steve's death. Regards to all his family
Steve and I grew up about three houses apart and across East Austin from Bill Moyers. He was my closest friend from age 5 until Junior High and then we went our separate ways. My sympathies and prayers go out to his family.
Dee Johnson, Tony Coleman, Jerry and and I all called him Magoo and was a very good friend of ours. We had a great time from Jr. High School I all the way through graduation. Steve had a terrible event in his life that led to him being incarsarated most of his adult life. May he rest in peace now.
My heart goes out to Steve's family. Steve & I were in the same class year after year as we went through elementary school at Sam Houston. I have found memories of those days. Steve was a nice guy. He lived right up Price St. from me on E. Austin. I could see his house from mine. The Mangums were a sweet family.
