Much sympathy extended to the family of Karl Brenneck for the sad news of his passing.  He will be missed by those of us in N. California who looked forward to his trips to come this way to see us.  Karl had a special way of reaching out to all of us.  Helen Shelton Wilkinson

So sorry to hear of Karl's passing, he is one of the people I really look forward to seeing at our class reunions.  Karl never put on any airs, he was just Karl.  What a loss.

I was thinking I'll soon get Karl's 55th reunion reservation and curious as to why I hadn't and find out he had his reservation for his heavenly home.  I remember the big braod smile Karl always had.  After the 50th reunion was over at Elmwood several of us stayed and visited and he was one.  Seems like only yesterday.  Karl's at peace and will be missed.  Anita ~

My thoughts go out to Karl's family during this period of loss. Karl and I shared times together during H.S. and then lost touch over the years, but renewed old times at the class reunions. Those who knew him will not forget.

I am shocked and saddened by Karl's death.  My deepest sympathies to his family.

He and I exchanged emails in recent years as we celebrated the joys of being parents and the accomplishments of children and grandchildren.

I was looking forward to seeing Karl at the reunion in September.  We've all been blessed to know Karl and have him in our lives.

I agree with Alan. Karl was always at reunions, inclusive of everyone, and seemed to be enjoying his life and those of his children that surrounded him with lots of love and happy times!  I was very sorry to hear of his loss of life. My condolences to his loving family.

Re:  Karl Brenneke

Not only one of the most reliable returnees (is that a word) to our reunions, but as everyone says:  "A man with a permanent smile on his face".  Kent Masmar, Karl and I used to meet in highly respectable establishments in Boulder and discuss deeply intellectual thoughts that usually ended with uncontrollably, side-gripping laughter,  Would we do that (along with Dave Lawrence)?  Hard to imagine, isn't it?  With wonderful memories for a truly memorable man, I send my sympathy to Karl's family and extrodinarily large circle of friends.

Bud Hunt,  Class of '60

Sure sorry to hear about Karl's passing. It is not fair when such a nice easy going fellow has to pass on. I always remember playing on the football line at guard next to him when he was center our senior year. Not sure who coined the term " twinkle toes" for him. Assume it may have been Coach Tom Evans our junior year or maybe Coach Paul Jones our senior year. My sympathy to Karl's family. Dick Hall

Karl's passing away has affected me profoundly.  He called me about 5 or 6 years ago, complete suprize, and we re-connected after all those years.  He came to my home to help me with a very difficult time in my life in 2012.  He personified the phrase "A friend in need is a friend indeed."  Literally.  He was a natural person--what you see is what you get.  He had a huge network of friends. He had an inner peace that made my feel safe with him around.  He had a great relationship with all of his children, that is rare.  We will all miss him.

Dixie

I'm posting the following link for anyone and everyone interested in a cure for cancer, which I stumbled upon on a post on Facebook.  I wish I'd discovered this a few years ago, before losing my beloved sister and brother to this disease.  I've been a victim of skin cancer once and had it surgically removed, as well as two precancerous lesions which I've had frozen off.  I hope this link can save others some pain and sadness.  Please watch these nine episodes.  I've made my way through only two of them so far, but I intend to watch all nine.  Very informative!  This is real science, real research, done by doctors and researchers.
