Connie Payne Gutridge

When my family first moved back to Maryville in 1971, my favorite Aunt insisted I attended Maryville High School.I enrolled and attended classes for one day. I quickly decided it was not the school for me. I chose Everett. I have many fond hilltop memories and no regrets.

I was born in Maryville, but, we moved alot due to my father working for the government. I attended 13 schools in 12 years. We moved back to Maryville from Memphis in 1971. I attended half my junior year and my senior year at Everett. Another Everett student, Gary Gutridge, caught my eye and my heart. We married in June of 1974 and just celebrated our 34 th wedding anniversiary.
