After graduation, moved to Corpus Christi, attended Del Mar College, starting working in the hotel industry, before too long after that, became Front Office Manager, and started the moving syndrome, hotels moved me from Corpus to San Antonio (5 yrs), and then back to Corpus, then back to Austin (almost 2 yrs), then I got out of the hotel industry, and got into phone customer service, that didnt last long, starting working for an assisted living for the elderly, enjoyed it greatly, got offered a mon through fri job, and took that, but stayed at the assisted living home on weekends, got promoted to weekend supervisor for the alzeihmers unit (think that is how you spell it) worked 45 hours mon-fri and then 32 more hours on the weekend, but still enjoyed it greatly, even being tired it was great. Decided to give up my position at the nursing home, and put more focus into my bookkeeping job, (which I also enjoy tremendously) who would of thought I would like numbers so much. LOL
I celebrated my 5 year anniversary in Dec 2008, this year I am continuing to grow with the company, I am also going to start taking care of all of the QA/QC, and also become the Safety Coordinator, I am going to go to an OSHA class and become certified in Safety, which to me is pretty exciting. Since starting work here, I have become a notary public, a forklift operator, and factory trained from Toshiba International in rotating apparatus equipment.
In July 2007 my dad passed away from lung cancer, my parent were living in Illinois and in Dec 2007 my mom said I want to come home, so I moved her back to Texas, which she has lived with me since. She is retired, and enjoying her life now, she had taken care of so many other people, I told her it was my turn to take care of her, so that she could enjoy herself for a change.
In my spare (when I am not working) I help out my boss, with his race car, in 2005 started helping him at the race track, we have raced her in Corpus, Pleasanton, Edna, Abilene, and Waco, and once or twice in Kileen, and he has taken me Texas Motor Speedway 2 times now, so it keeps me busy.
But all in all life is good, just keeping my busy and out of trouble.
