In Memory

Mike Ditchman

Oct. 7, 1968 - Nov. 21, 1994 He was a good friend to me as well as to others. We used to make tapes of us pretending to be disc jockeys when we were 13/14 years old. We'd call up "Dancin" Danny Wright & he'd put us on the radio. We both wanted to be disc jockeys someday & it sucks that only one of us was able to reach that goal. There were times over the years when I was working at a radio station & found myself wishing that he was there working with me. We would have been a great radio team. Rest in peace, my friend. - Ron Higgins

Hey Ya-all who are interested. A good friend of mine and Mike Ditchmans father Bill passed recently. He was a Great man and I will sorely miss him! I unfortunatly don't remember Mike but I adored his father as I had looked up to him. I recall when he lost Mike and cried to me that day. Now he is with his son, finally and I hope he is happy.

I'm coming back in town sometime in October to visit his brother & Mike's gravesite. His brother, Mark, put a new gravestone up with Mike's picture on it. He is buried at the Mentor Cemetary for those wanting to visit. I found an old tape that Mike & I made when we were 13 or 14 years old. We were aspiring disc jockeys that made tapes of us acting like DJs complete with music. I sure am glad that I kept that stuff. I am hoping to turn it into a video with pics of Mike thanks to his brother. I'll keep everyone posted.
