My husband and I live in Mariposa Californa on 9.1 acres in the country. I still have a horse and have added 3 pigmy goats (2 died last summer), a pot-bellied pig, chickens that live to 13 years of age (just lost the last one in Jan 2010, a tortoise that has been in my husband's family for 35 years. My favorites are our three dogs...cats were always my favorites, however, when the kids grew up, we kept Cindel, Serjie and BoBoe. I lost Tommy Kat to cancer. Sufed due to old age and seizures from kidney problems in Dec 09, and ended up with 3 new kittens, Fluffy, Dinkie, and Mr. Bubbles (born April Fools Day 09)...Lucky Charm (born right after mom passed away under her old home Mar 07) who loves to play with them...they keep me positive in this rough time in my life. Surgeries on both hips were done at UC Davis...right in Oct 09 and the left in Mar 10. I have my wings so to speak and very glad to be out of the wheelchair and using crutches again. Ruthie, my mom. passed away in March of 07. I no longer work at the high school here in Mariposa due to permanent life injury. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who loves me with my handicap or not and being in our own home in the country just like it was in Middletown, CA.
