The reunion was great! So many people came and it was fantastic. Thank you to the committee and everyone who busted their buns organizing the whole event. Life is still good for us, but as always, that curve ball comes fast. During the summer, the Utah Health Department decided that because my husband works for the State of Utah in the Division of Services for People with Disabilities and I am a provider for the agency; they needed to cancel my contract. SO, as of September 30, 2008, I have no longer been able to work with people with disabilities. It is a long and depressing story, but, my honey did get a good promotion which almost makes up for my income. I feel a little lost, it took a little getting used to, being a stay-at-home mom again, but I don't miss the state paperwork! I still run a business, but it's all private customers, and no sweet people with diabilities. :(
I feel busier than ever, I wonder how I had time to work? I've gotten involved with some high school booster clubs, trying to help kids in the band program, and a bit of PTA in the elementary school. I miss my clients terribly, I really came to love each one of them, but I do feel this is where I need to be. After all, I have two lovely girls in high school, of dating age- I NEED to be home! This is the fun part. The whole school dance-dating scene in High School. Our oldest, Malynn, graduates this May and our youngest gets baptized, too. We are looking at colleges and I'm a little freaked out. It doesn't feel like I am old enough to have a college student. Or that I've been a parent that long. She's ready to take on the world and I envy that confidence.
