Valerie Gottleaber Over

After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Iowa and majored in Pharmacy. After graduating, I moved to Champaign, IL and worked for Carle Foundation Hospital. While there, I got married to Brian Over on 8/8/98. No excuse for Brian to forget about that date. The following year, we decided to move to Framingham, Massachusetts. I worked as a pharmacy supervisor at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. In November 2001, we had a son, Ethan. While in MA, we became die hard Boston Red Sox fans and still remain. After living in MA for 8+ years, we decided to move back to the midwest after my mother became sick. So in April, 2007, we moved to Oswego, IL. Currently, I am employed at Edward hospital in Naperville, IL as an Oncology Pharmacist. Brian manages the employee pharmacy at Edward. We gave birth to our second son, Logan James,on July 9,2009. Besides Ethan and Logan, we have two dogs, a German Shepherd named Bela (16 year old), and a boxer-pit bull mix named Dante(10 year old). Ethan is now entering 7th grade. He plays pitcher and first base on a travel baseball team. He also plays basketball. Logan is going to start kindergarten this year. He just started playing T-ball. Last year, April 2013, Brian was diagnosed with a grade 3 brain tumor. He had surgery two days later and then started chemotherapy and radiation for 6 weeks and then chemo maintenance for 6 months. He gets a MRI every 4 months. As of July 2014, he is still tumor free. Life has thrown us a wrench. We just have to move on and pray for the best.
