Wow, 2010 is here! I can't believe I am the mother of a Senior. Seems like it was yesterday that I was the Senior. I am very blessed with three beautiful teenage girls. Jessie is a senior, Nikki is a freshman, and Bailie is in the 7th grade. Life is never dull at my house.
2009 has had many ups and downs. Glad to start a new year and have a fresh start, I hope! Already my health is not doing so well. Our senior year I had kidney surgery and did well up until about 7 years ago. During a my yearly checkup my doctor found that I had a kidney disease. For several years now I have been able to control it with blood pressure medicine and steriods. Yes, that explains my round cherub face at the reunion. Well, the last round of steriods did not work and they put me on a medication for transplant patients. Well, the weird thing about that medication is that it has to monitored or it can actually damage my kidneys. Guess what- it has not help either and my levels that should be at 0 are now at 30,000. YUCK!! Up until now I have been pretty positive about all of it but now I'm a little scared that none of the meds are working. What are my options? I'm not sure!Looking in to going to another doctor, Scott and White or some University just to get some fresh new eyes on this situation. So enough of that depressioning stuff.
David and I will celebrate 20 years January 26th. WOW-and I mean wow!!
I was so glad to see everyone at the reunion and can't wait until the next one. My pray for all of you is to have a Great New Year and May God Bless You.
