After high school, I went to ISU in Pocatello. I worked at the Idaho State Journal while going to school. I met my husband at ISU and after he graduated, we moved to St. Louis for two years. We got homesick for the northwest and moved back west and have lived in the Seattle area (God's country) for the past 30+ years. We have three wonderful daughters, two sons-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren. I work in special ed at one of the best school districts in the state. I'm looking forward to our 2020 reunion!

Over the years, when I've gone back to Mountain Home, I've had the pleasure of visiting with Rutha Mims. I can call her that now (Rutha - instead of "Mrs.") I'll never forget the day in her English Lit class when she got so tired of Brenda Anselment chatting in class that she threw a piece of chalk at her to get her attention! She really knew how to inspire students! To this day, I'll never forget the important symbolism in "Moby Dick".
