After graduation, I basically left Muscatine for good.
I spent the summer of 1989 working as a camp counselor/lifeguard at Cedar Valley Grove in Mechanicsville, Iowa.
Then, it was almost 7 years playing in the Army Band.
Then, 2 years at Graceland University Lamoni, Iowa, and graduated with degrees in economics and business administration.
Lived in Iowa City for 1 year, and couldn't find a job with my degrees and ended up delivering pizzas for Paul Revere's much of that time.
Lived in Fort Scott, Kansas, for 1 year, working for a tech company that was about to go public. Went public, and then imploded.
Since 2000, I have lived near Nashville, Tennessee.
and worked 5 ½ years’ experience in Health Care – Staffing, with Cogent Healthcare and Correct Care Solutions, both reporting to the VP of Finance.
3 ½ years’ experience in Health Care – Clinic, with Walgreens, as a dedicated analyst for a Fortune 500 client.
3 ½ in the Operations-Retail, with the Kwik Sak convenient 30-store chain in Middle Tennessee, as the Finance and Operations Manager.
15 months in IT/Customer Service, with HireRight, a leading provider of background check services, with over 65,000 clients, as Manager, FP&A.
8 months experience as the Finance Director, for the City of La Vergne, TN, a city of 30,000 residents.
7 months experience in Health Care – Hospitals, with Community Health Systems, which is the largest provider of general hospital healthcare services in the United States), as a backfill, while the FTE was out on maternity leave.
I've been happily married since September 1, 2001. My wife, Lisa, was a student at MCC, and a former Homecoming Queen at Wapello High School.
I first met her the summer 1996 when I got out of the Army. In 2000, we reconnected again, and soon got married in Sperry, Iowa.
