Eleanor Williams Shirley

After high school, I went to UNI. I stayed in that area for seven years before moving to Des Moines where I currently reside.
After many years as a lab supervisor, I decided I didn't want to be married to my job anymore and went to work for the schools. I am now the Enrollment Center Supervisor for The Des Moines School District. Quite a different job...challenging enough to keep me interested but lax enough to allow me to raise my family.

Favorite school story? Too many to list just one...I guess I can recall it all because I didn't drink! :-)
Dances--seems like we had a dance every other weekend and now the schools have them once-twice A YEAR!
Parties in Davenport--how many times did I make that trip? One time I actually went from Benita's house back to Davenport in 13 MINUTES!! (Kids DO NOT try this at home.)
Mrs Hetzler's class--as much as everyone dreaded that class in hindsight it was pretty easy. Sorry Mrs. H but I actually made it through an oral exam about a book I DID NOT READ! LOL! You said it couldn't be done so I took that as a personal challenge. For the record, I got an A on that exam.
