Comments:

We still live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and love it more than ever. I love the convenience of living 15 minutes from the airport, right in between both coasts for easy travel options, yet it feels like we're out in the middle of the country with wildlife, trees, and total peace & quiet. Great climate, lots of sunshine, lots of shopping and family nearby. And of course, I met the love of my life here, so that makes it even more special. Larry is my angel.

We've spent the past 5 years having a blast as a family. Larry loves to travel, and has taken us to so many fantastic places. I'm truly in awe of the way this man has changed my life. I'm a believer in keeping a happy and open heart because there are always great things ahead, no matter how many challenges or hurdles come your way, and meeting Larry has proven that to be true. Life is an adventure for sure.

When we're home, we spend a good bit of time on the boat wake boarding on Lake Grapevine with Frankie & his friends, or playing in the pool, or working in the yard, or entertaining here at home. We enjoy having get-togethers at the house, or just going out to dinner or to the movies.

We love Napa Valley and try to go twice a year, exploring new wineries and trying out all the local farm-to-table restaurants in the Napa/Sonoma area. It's a magical place for us.

We spent 10 days in Rome, Florence & Venice in Oct 2011 with our friends and wow was that a blast. Food, art, people, language, it's all so romantic and beautiful. I could live forever in Florence, & Venice is so romantic.

Travelled to St. Thomas US Virgin Islands for a week in May 2011 with friends. Sailed over to St. John's, relaxed, ate, drank and watched giant iguanas strolling around on the beach.

Took my first and only cruise in September 2012; a 10-day Mediterranean cruise which originated in Monte Carlo, in the south of France, then went on through several stops in coastal Italy and ended in Barcelona, Spain. Amazing and fun, and made some new travel friends. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.

Took a beach trip last summer to The Sanctuary Resort in Kiawah Island, SC. It's one of my favorite beach resorts in the US, and this year marked Frankie's and my 17th summer trip there - we've been going since he was a toddler. Lovely, serene and relaxing.

Frankie turned 21 last November, and we helped him and a friend celebrate in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan. He's still attending The University of Texas in Austin, working on a double major in Physics & Computer Science, and living in an awesome apartment overlooking downtown Austin, of which I'm extremely jealous. Austin is a great town that totally suits his personality. He loves it there, but still comes home to visit regularly for holidays and during the summer. He's really into building lasers of all types, playing the piano and composing his own music, and is quite an avid rock climber, wake boarder, snowboarder, and generally just a great guy with a quick sense of humor and a happy outlook on life. He is a joy to be around.

My sister, Wendy, lives 20 minutes away in Flower Mound with her husband and 14 year old son. They are a really cute family. My parents visit Texas often and are doing incredibly well (they're 80 years old, but seem decades younger.) My brother Elliot & his wife Diana still live in Muskogee, have been married for 34 years, and are doing great too. They come to Dallas to visit regularly, and are happier than ever and so cute together. My niece and her husband moved to Texas last August. We're thrilled to have more family living close by.

I love to read everyone's bios and get caught up on my old classmates, and since I don't do Facebook, this is my only way to keep up. We had such a great class and I have so many fun memories of those days. Hope everyone is well. I'm thankful every day for all the blessings in our life. Happy & Healthy 2014.

School Story:

Sheila Boehm's basement parties, Sally Jo's blue car, lunch at My Place bar-b-cue, Showstoppers and drill team, assemblies, cruising 32nd street, getting grounded for nearly 6 months when I was 16. Drill Team Camp at University of Tulsa: "Door ain't open!"
