Bruce Wayne Rucker Sr. transitioned to Eternal Rest on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at age 61.

St. Patrick E. Rucker and Mae K. Cole became the proud parents of a handsome baby boy in Muskogee, OK, on September 22, 1960. They named him Bruce Wayne Rucker. Bruce accepted the Lord into his life at a young age, and Greater Canaan Baptist Church became his home of worship.

Bruce Rucker attended Muskogee Public Schools, graduating from Muskogee High School in 1978. He began working for the City of Tulsa in the Sanitation Department and later relocated to Muskogee, working for the City of Muskogee Parks and Recreation Department until his retirement.

Bruce met and married Diedra Alexander in 1983, and to this union three children were born and one step-daughter. The marriage dissolved in 1991. Bruce later met and married Pamela Dyer in August 2001, adding three step-children to his family. This marriage later dissolved in 2011. They remained friends until his passing.

Bruce enjoyed being outside in the fresh air. His hobbies were a good game of horseshoes, pool, dominoes, basketball, fishing, hanging out with his loved ones and “throwing his hat."

Those greeting Bruce at Heaven's gates were his parents, Mae Cole and Pat Rucker, and his brother, Otis Ray Payne Sr.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory a daughter: Tandrea Rucker, of Tulsa; two sons: Bruce Rucker Jr. and Jamel Rucker, of Tulsa; four step-children: Raven Alexander, of Tulsa, and Richard, Omari, and Courtney Grey, of Muskogee; three sisters: Patricia M. Rucker and Loretta Rucker, of Muskogee, and Shavonna Rucker, of Tulsa; six brothers: Kenneth Rucker and Tony Rucker, of Muskogee, Jerry (Anita) Rucker, of Spiro, Pastor Steve (Audrey) Rucker, of Muskogee, Gary (JoAnn) Rucker, of Wagoner, and Don (Annette) Cubit, of Muskogee; two aunts: Paralee Rucker, of St. Louis, MO, and Lucille Vann, of Oklahoma City; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, whom he cherished: Jacorey, Joyous, Earnest, Trey, Jazmyn, Xavier, Hadlee, Jeremiah, Onyx, Mahaya, Jamel Jr., Isaiah Jamel, Jaylee, Mia, Isabella, Jaelynn, Jameel III, Journey, and Kyrie.

The Final Hour with Mr. Rucker will commence on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Life Point Church of Muskogee. Pastor Guy Parish is the gracious host, and Pastor Steve Rucker will officiate.
