Wally was my best friend. I went through boy scouts and to all the campouts with Wally. Being the "New Guy" at Napa High in 11th grade, Wally was always there for me. We both were on the track team and we even joined the Marine Corps together.  I just recently found out about Wally's death and felt strange to be the one to post it on this website.

I met Wally on the track team our Junior year.  When talking to him you always had his full attention and he made you feel like the most important person in the world. At his memorial I stood up and recounted how he always made me feel like I was his best friend.  Several people came up to me afterward and said that they'd thought he was their best friend.  But no doubt about it Bob truely was.
