A native of Paterson, NJ and resident of Castro Valley for 6 years, passed away January 1, 2004 at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Linda Johnson of Castro Valley. Father of Hannah and Benjamin Green both of Castro Valley, Lacey and Niki Green both of Morgan Hill. Son of Elaine Dress of Watsonville, CA. Tom was a board member of the Castro Valley Little League, was a soccer and baseball coach. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Viet Nam. Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine, CA. Contributions preferred to the children's education fund, made to Benjamin and Hannah Green C/O Linda Johnson, 25778 Annie Ct., Castro Valley, CA 94552.

I can remember the day that Tom started school at Silverado. Here he was fresh from New Jersey. He wore pants that had the legs pegged to the point they had zippers. He was quite the fashion statement! All in all a good looking fellow. The girls thought he was great. The guys......hummmm, not so much. He invited a friend and I to come to the restaurant he and his father-in-law owned in Morgan Hill. Maybe you may have eaten there. It had an airport theme and sat up on a hill. Very nice but sadly do not remember the name. Sorry to read he passed away much....to young.
