Bert was a close friend and I'm saddened by this report.  I'd often wondered where life took him but not surprised that he was a well thought of and accomplished man.

The fact that he was a fellow Vietnam veteran of combat tells me the person I knew was every bit who I remember.

Never got to say "welcome home" to you Bert but it is never too late.  Welcome home brother.

When we ran around together in our junior and senior years Bert lived out a ways on what I think was 1st Avenue?  He was witty and a whole lot of fun.

I will never forget Bert Kerr.  RIP friend.

I knew Bert from Redwood Jr. High and we went to a few of the school dances together.  I remember him as being fun and very tall.  I'm so sorry to hear of his and many of our dear classmates passing.

I played football with Bert at Redwood. He was a great running back. I joined the Army just before Bert joined the Navy. Never got to see him again. I am a fellow Viet Nam Vet. RIP Bert you left us too soon
