Yountville native and former Napa resident Mellana June King 44, died Tuesday in Sonoma where she lived for the last year.

A registered nurse, Mrs King had just completed work for her master's degree in mursing and attained the status of family nurse practitioner.  She had managed in home health care in the Vallejo and Napa areas.

She had lived most of her life in Napa.

Mrs King is survived by her husband, William R. of Sonoma; one daughter, June Richardson of Napa and four grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa St. Sonoma and burial will be at 10 am Friday at Skyview Memorial Park in Vallejo.
