Oct. 2, 1946 - May 27, 2007 Margaret "Peggy" Connaughton passed away at
Vaca Valley Hospital on May 27, 2007. She was born in Vallejo on Oct. 2, 1946,
to John Roche and Margaret (Zanardi) Roche. Peggy attended St. Basil's
Grammar School in Vallejo. They moved to Napa Junction (American Canyon)
and she graduated from Napa High School in 1964. After graduating from high
school she was married and was employed by Napa Valley Bank. She quit
working to become a homemaker. While she was at home she started a home
business making baby furniture. She attended Napa College and then earned a
bachelor's segree in political science from Dominican College in San Rafael. She
worked for the Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation office in Napa and she
volunteered for the Napa Red Cross office. Peggy was active in pro life and she
enjoyed being with her grandchildren. As hobbies she liked traveling, artwork,
cooking and spending time with her father. She is survived by her husband,
Doug Connaughton of Vacaville; her father, Jack Roche of American Canyon;
her two sons, Patrick Turpin of Santa Rosa and Tim Connaughton and his wife
Anna of Napa; one daughter, Elizabeth Peterson and her husband Steven of
American Canyon; and one brother, Bob Roche and his wife Stephanie of St.
Helena. She has four grandchildren, Paul Turpin, Steven Peterson, Ian
Connaughton and Madison Connaughton. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8
p.m. today at the Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St., Napa. The
funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, at St. John's Catholic
Church, 924 Napa St., Napa. Memorial contributions may be made to Birthright
of Napa, 1447 4th St., Napa, CA 94558.

Burton (Burt) Williams

I remember Peggy as a good friend all the way back to Ridgeview.  A very sweet girl with a pretty smile.

VACA VALLEY - Margaret “Peggy” Connaughton passed away at Vaca Valley Hospital on May 27, 2007.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 924 Napa St. in Napa. Visiting hours will be held at the Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St., Napa, on Wednesday (tonight) from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
