Susan A. Gerlach Ginn, 55, died peacefully Jan. 28, 2003, at Queen of the Valley Hospital. Born July 24, 1947, in Seattle, Susan was raised in the Napa Valley, graduating from Napa High School with the class of 1965. Susan was very talented with music and had a love of writing poetry.
Susan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Eric Schimmer; her son, Ryan Ginn; and two grandsons, David and Samual. She also leaves her mother, Ruth Gerlach; brothers Charles Gerlach and John Gerlach; and sister Sharon L. Land. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Gerlach.
Keeping with the wishes of Susan, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
An open house to honor Susan's memory will be held for family and friends today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of Sharon Land, 3841 Briarwood St., Napa.
Arrangements are being cared for by Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa.
