In Memory

Carol Stephens (Teeters)

Per Napa Register 5/28/14:

Carol passed away Friday, May 23,2014 surrounded by her devoted husband of 47 years, Fred and their three loving children, Mark, Leslie and Amy.  Carol was born Feb 18, 1947 in Chehalis Washington to Otis and Audrey Thompson and spent her childhood moving throughout the American West before settling in Napa in 1963 at the age of 16.  Upon enrolling in Napa High School, she was soon introduced to Fred; they have been together ever since.  In her professional life, Carol is best remembered for her dedication to the community's youth as the peer support coordinator at Vintage High School for more than 15 years.  She loved to travel and visit with her many friends but above all was deeply immersed in the lives of her family.  With three children and eight grandchildren all living in Napa, she never missed an event.  She was quick with a laugh, and made all feel immediately welcomed.  She valiantly fought breast cancer, and was determined that it would not define who she was.  It was this enduring strength and conviction that allowed her to be a part of her family's most important milestones.  Even in the most difficult times, she displayed unyeilding courage and grace.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 2 p.m., at CrossWalk Community Church, 2590 First Street, Napa.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at TulocayCemetery.org
