DAMN IT! This is crappy news. When my family relocated from Chicago to Napa in 1958, I started school at Irene M. Snow Elementary. Adrian was one of the first people to befriend me. For a few years  he and I hung out , just goofing. From the outset, I saw him as a very intellligent, creative person. He always had something going. I remember in grade school he made these little cardboard cutout ribbons; colored them bronze, silver, and gold; they were to denote the number of tether ball and four square wins you had. Of course we were all wearing gold by the next day(too good). After the 7th grade at Ridgeview, we started losing contact. I don't think we ever had a class together, and I sort of went they way of athletics. Adrian always went his own way, and I admired that spirit. Thoughout high school we would see each other in the halls or around campus and always give the obligatory "macho" nod. He is truly one of those people I have always wondered about. So without furher comment, let me simply say I miss you Adrian, you were a good egg. R.I.P. and bless your family.

Our family moved to Napa in 1962 and I entered Siverado.  I met Adrian in 1964 in Mr. Lipshultz's Salesmanship class our Senior year.  I had the desk next to Adrian and I found him to be very witty, intelligent, and he just exuded confidence in himself.  When we had our assigned "sales pitches" I always looked forward to Adrian's.

I lost track of him when he went in the Navy but look back at the short amount of time we spent together and talked.  He is missed.

Adrian and I had drivers ed together at Rigdeview, right after lunch,  we would wait till John Garzoli went to sleep and then drive way out of town , one day we were almost to Sonoma when John woke up and said "where the hell are we"  , years later I read some of Adrian's poetry when published.  Well Adrian you and John and that Chevy Impala are out there for a long drive, have a good one!

Adrian went to Ridgeview when I went to Silverado. I went to one of his school dances, and when I saw him, I fell hard!  He was sooo cute! He noticed me too. He was going to ask me to dance, I know it, but got shy, and walked away. It was never meant to be. But our eyes did meet. I was sorry to hear of his passing. Maybe another time, we'll have that dance, Adrian. :)
