Rebecca Hitt Beckley

Mike and I started dating the summer of 1991; we attended EKU together. After nearly 4 years of dating, we got married in January 1995 on the beach of Daytona, Florida. We continued to live in Richmond, Ky until our first child, Hunter turned one. We then moved to Shelbyville; where we've been for 8 years now. We had boy/girl twins in 2002 (Kylen & Braylyn).
Mike has been a police officer or sheriff deputy since 1994, so he is near retirement already. I worked as a crime victim advocate in Madison Co. for 2 years and then transferred to the Shelby County Commonwealth Attorney's Office and worked there for 7 more. I had always wanted to be a Probation and Parole Officer, but was a bit nervous about it. After the Shelby Co. Comm. Atty. lost his position in the 2007 election, I got my courage up...and like I thought I would, I absolutely love it! I wish I had began this job back in '95 when I first considered it, I'd be 7 years from retirement myself. Gotta love 20 year hazardous duty retirement plans.
