After cleaning out a closet, I came across our reunion packet. At our 30 year reunion at Cronk’s oakridge, it was asked “what would you like to see happen in the 2014? (Ten years from then)
If we were all sharp, that would have been at the last reunion held at the McCreary home. Anyway, I am sending this to Clint as I know he will pass it on either facebook or our class reunion website or email or all of the above. I found it an interesting read.
It would be interesting to know how close did we all come to our ten year forecast?
Julie
I thought it would still be interesting to know what we wrote, eleven years ago.
Cathy Winick Warmels- Enough jobs for people. No American war in progress. NO west Nile virus. No AIDS. No diabetes. Where would we all I’ve? There would be new “plaques” to take their place, and all the old ones.
Clint Abbott- Gas return to $1.00 a gallon. That we actually find another source of oil or way of powering our vehicles. Some type of national health care.
Rose Ames Berger-retirement in 10-12 years. Would like to pursue music hobby with greater interest.
Gail Arnold- For me or the world? I finally own my home and do volunteering work. Hope to do some major traveling here and abroad. For the world. That our country has more respect for each other and our government has learned more empathy for the other countries. I know I’m what my father (hmmm!) calls a bleeding heart. But the suffering in the world just pains me!
Sue Ellen Bumstead McCreary- World Peace. No more killings, stop hunger, stop child abuse, We can all help by just being kind to one another.
Kathleen Burns Nickerson - Gosh, I hope I am working very part time and enjoying a bunch of grandchildren. I hope Tim and I have traveled a lot. I hope all my kids will be settled, in good jobs, and nice relationships. I hope we will all be getting together to celebrate our 40th high school reunion in good health, and in style.
Holly Carpenter Steil- to just have meanness, ugliness, viciousness disappear- I want ll people to start being nice all the time- simple!
Keith Cory- Less work and more time with my family
Laurie Hoyt Huffman- When I’m older, I hope to travel more and do more volunteer work.
Bob DeWispeleare- I’d like to still be here for the 40th class reunion.
Jacques Dumont- Financial security, good health and peace of mind for all of you.
Julie Priest Fosnaugh- mandatory recycling, purchase some type of retirement dwelling, 4-5 grandkids clinging to my legs telling me that I am the greatest Grandma on the planet
Bob Smentkowski- Sell my house at Old Woman’s Bend. I bought it in 95 but have only visited 3 or 4 times and not once since we spent three weeks there in ’99. It’s just too far away for a vacation home. Also, end world hunger, lose weight,…
Kim Roehrig- I can see Amy and I am enjoying a grandchild or two.
Mary Slominski Hance- For my kids to all be living in their own place!!!!
Brian Fosnaugh- Retirement, grandchildren, good health of body and mind, that the world is in less conflict, that we look at ways to conserve resources for our future generations.
Wayne Veltkamp- Being a grandparent and able to spoil the grandchildren and sen them home.
Barbara Newfer- moving to the country and get our kennel built, seeing Chris (my stepson) married with children. Having my husband finish his apprenticeship.
Pat Penland Heitman- The the Heithmans take an Alaskan Cruise, World Peace, and Patrick will survive high school.
Paul Rose- my son will be 17 years old and I hope he doesn’t wreck as much stuff as I did.
Debi Myers Samples- Ten years from now I pray we will still have a United States of America- I pray we will have found values again. I see the end to cancer. I see the auto makers finally allowing the average person to be able to afford cars not fueled by fossil fuels. People will realize how important education is and invest on our smartest and brightest to educate their young.
Jeff Sanborn- Be retired, have another class reunion with all our Class. Everybody, no one missing. And have world peace!!!!!!!
Diana Suchy Weaver- That I will still be around.
