I became a machinist in '88 and moved away from Newmarket around that time as well... I still miss the place. I met Koreen in '91 and and we got married in June of '93. 5 days before our wedding we were on my motorcycle and got t-boned by a camaro - we both had broken right legs and I needed surgery. We got married in wheelchairs ;). Koreen was off her feet for a year and me for around 9 months.
I started my own machine shop in '96 and went full-time with it in December of '97. It's a small shop in my house and I'm still at it.
My daughter was born in '98 and my son was born on September 12 of 2001. I was so happy when he was born but it was a very strange day to bring a new kid into the world right after the awful tragedy the day before.
I've been into a lot of stuff over the years... I think I've more than made up for all the time I wasted when I was a teenager LOL. I've had many streetbikes, I've raced dirtbikes, had snowmobiles, we do a lot of camping and these days I'm really into boating and fishing.
Some of you might remember that I was really into playing guitar back in high school. Well, I quit for like 15 years and just picked it back up again a few years ago. I recently played my first paying gig ever (8-1-09) which was a good time.
So I'm just over here in Sandown raising the kiddies and running a home shop. Nothing too exciting but I'm certainly enjoying life!
