Henrietta Butler (White)

 

Henrietta L. Butler (White) of Norristown Henrietta L. Butler (White), age 63, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at her home in Norristown. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Henrietta (James) White. She attended Norristown schools and graduated from A.D. Eisenhower High School Class of 1969. She worked for the Norristown State Hospital as a Forensic Security officer for 35 years, retiring in 2000. She also served as union representative for Local 2940, P.S.C.O.A. After retiring from the hospital, she worked for the Norristown Area School District as a bus aide. She was a graduate of Manna Bible Institute in Philadelphia. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Surviving are her life-long companion, James Gregory Horton, two daughters, Syreeta A. McCoy (Justin) and Monica A. Butler; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Johnson, Estelle Oney, Amanda Devine and Lucy White-Green (Leroy); two brothers, Ernest White (Rhonda) and John White (Shelly) and two step-sisters, Starla Horton and Christel Golson. She was predeceased by a sister, Ella; two brothers, James White, Sr. and William Johnson; a niece, Darnisha and two nephews, Walter and Edward. Funeral services are going to be held on Saturday, April 19th at 9:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2117 N. 33rd St., Philadelphia, Pa. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, Pa.
