Edward Joseph “Ed” Young, Sr.

Edward Joseph “Ed” Young, Sr., 72, of Perkiomenville, was born on December 25, 1950 and passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at his home. Ed was the son of the late Anne (Fleming) Young, and the loving husband to Ruthann Stanton.

Ed was raised and spent most of his life in the Norristown area; and was a graduate of Norristown High School. He would later go on to own and operate his own company, Ed Young Painting from 1983 until his retirement. Ed was also very involved in the Norristown community and coached sports for many years; Ed also enjoyed attending his own children’s sporting events and never missed a game or a dance recital. Mr. Young also had a love for animals and was very well known for his dog obedience training, and would go on to win many awards for his dedication. In his spare time Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to the shore with his dogs whenever he had the opportunity. But most of all he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and dear friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his three loving children, Katherine (Charles) Conners, Brooke Young, and Edward Young, Jr.; One brother, William Young; Seven step-children; and one granddaughter.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Ed on Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 10:30AM-12:00PM at the Caramenico Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 403 E. Main St Norristown PA, 19401. A memorial service will follow the calling time at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
