Living the life now with another woman in the household my new daughter Karissa Leigh Nelson. I will upload some photos when I get some time. School is starting and getting very busy no more summer with the girls and all the fun times.
Where to begin. First off by saying, sorry I could not attend the class reunion. Bad weekend as me and my wife moved into our new house we built. I can finally say that I am settled in and down for that matter. It would have been nice to see some old faces from the past. As of late, the only people I run into is Ray Zywica and have heard from and seen Ed Namenyi at one of my wrestling matches. Also, Mr. and Mrs. Oberst and Leo Saniuk.
I just had my 2 year anniversary with my wife Tammy. Yes a waited quite some time before settling down. It has all been worth it. (Especially, with the kids.) My wife was a former college Basketball player at the University of Findlay(yes I know its a shock but she is taller than me) and teaches in Toledo grades 1-6. I give her a lot of credit because she works with mutiple handicap children as well as regular students in Phys. ED. Go figure I met her at a wrestling match thanks to one of my former national champs(it was his aunt).
My step son Casey is now wrestling. (I tried to discourage him but to no avail) He will be a sophomore this year and is doing very well. My daughter MaKenna is quite the handful. She keeps us very busy and is like a sponge right now. If we could just get by the sleeping through the night thing it would be even better. I have another on the way due in Feb. (and no I don't know what it is yet).
Other than that, I am really bad at keeping in touch with people as I try to where many hats that keep me busy. I have been the Head Wrestling Coach at the University of Findlay since 1997 and teach 2 classes every fall semester, so my months of August-March are crazy. Then from March to the end of school I am out on the recruiting trail trying to find that next tough Roughneck. (schools name is the oilers but somehow roughnecks was a nickname given to the wrestling team before I started coaching). In the summer months I have my own roofing business that me and my Asst. coach started 8 yrs. ago. And if that is not enough, I bought a duplex near campus I rent out. (college kids are very messy and destructive to rentals). Hopefully, I win that lottery some day but until then I will just keep working.
My parents still live in N. Royalton and our both retired so they can come over and see there only grandchild. My brother lives in Bath, OH.
