Comments:
Having a daughter in high school is a constant reminder of "what goes around, comes around" - but fortunately for Clare, she is exceedingly mature, and much less the carefree spirit her mother once was at OPRF.
My son is a junior scientist of sorts at age eleven, constantly curious, and is also a gifted artist much like his grandfather Stanley Baker Fleming was, and like his great grandfather on his father's side, who was a Byzantine Iconographer.
My life has been full of gifts; I still enjoy music, having played clarinet in the Glenview Concert Band for ten years, as well as the piano. Following graduate school, I had published three mystery novels and a book of short stories under the name Kathleen Anne Fleming (priced to move! and available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble).
An unexpected additional joy, resulting from having to do promotions for my books, has been my career as a teacher of fiction writing at a local college.
I look forward to seeing everyone in October 2009.
