I am sorry to learn of Wendy's passing. My experience with her was that she was friendly and had good ideas. She was rather quiet. She is missed

I am truly sorry to have lost touch with Wendy. Her quiet strength and friendship were a blessing to me. Her passing is a loss to all who knew her.

Wendy - what a team we were learning our language and twisting our tongues.   You are missed!

Remembering Wendy

As young girls we enjoyed a close friendship. Because we both loved horses, we convinced my mother to sew us a costume of one. For the Halloween parade at school , we trotted there with Wendy in the front.  On my back porch we acted plays that I wrote with Wendy as the star.  One performance her parents sat on lawn chairs with umbrellas as it rained.  My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

I remember when Wendy and I worked on the decorations for the Prom when we were Juniors.  We painted great back drops for the theme Starry Night in Arabia on large rolls of paper on the third floor of my home.  I think we stayed up until midnight trying to get them done.  We had a lot of laughs.  She was not only beautiful but great fun!  I would loved to have seen her again.  Cynthia

I, too, am really so sorry to see that Wendy has passed. She, Betsy Ragan and I were friends while I was at Hawthorne, then my family moved at the end of 6th grade and put out lives on different paths. I have very fond memories of her while we were at Hawthorne together. My sympathies go out to her family and friends.

So sorry about Wendy's passing!  She and I were in the same art class and did our share of goofing around.  She was at first quiet, but there was quite a funny person in there.  She also had gone to the Indiana Dunes one spring weekend and had gotten burned like you would not believe.  She told me she had started the day with her brother smacking her on the back.  Ow!

I am so sad to read of Wendy’s death. In high school we never think of such things. Wendy and I dated for more than two years, even for a short time after I graduated in ’63. She wore my letter sweater and we explored life together as teenagers. These wonderful memories are a part of who I am today.  I believe we always expect that life after high school will be great and happy. I’m certain Wendy lived in ways that gave her happiness with all she touched.
