Richard passed away January 8, 2017 in Florida. He moved to Florida after retiring from the Oak Park Police Department. He is survived by a son, Brian, a brother, Donald (OP '57), and two sisters, Joyce (OP '59) and Barbara ('62).
Richard was my first boyfriend, 5th grade at Irving School. I knew he liked me when he chased me around the playground and hit me with his zipper notebook. Sigh, puppy love, such a long time ago. I hope he had a good life.
Rich and I were very good friends through high school, we played on the same softball team for years. Rich was a great friend and I remember all the parties we had at his house. Didnt see Rich much after high school, but I knew he was a police Officer in Oak Park.
