After graduating from RC, I went to Northern Illinois Univerisity for both my bachelor's and master's degrees in education/administration. I've been teaching junior high language arts for the past 14 years and continue to love it.

In 1999, I got married and thoroughly enjoy the domestic lifestyle after living the single life in Chicago for several years. My husband and I are both independent contractors for several educational publishing companies and enjoy working from our laptops.

It was a very busy year for us in 2007! I was finally able to have my right knee replaced, which plagued me for most of my life and have fully recovered. Now, I have a "bionic" knee, and the rest of me is slowly trying to keep up with it! I suspect that I will have a right hip to match the knee in a few years. While I was recovering from surgery, my husband (along with helpers) built a log home on a lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are able to spend our first summer up here this year and are thoroughly enjoying the carefree lifestyle it brings.
