Nancy Wieczorek (Turner)

Omaha, NE. Nancy passed away in Indianapolis, IN on November 30, 2011 after a long struggle with her health. Nancy was a graduate of Omaha Technical High School '79 and Iowa State University '84 with a B.A. in Communications. Nancy's silly personality, creativity, sincere kindness, extraordinary generosity, genuine love of children and animals defined her over the years. She was a Cheerleader in school and in life, the Homecoming Queen and beloved princess to all who knew her. Nancy juggled an accomplished career in Philanthropy with being a wonderful mother of two. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Charles Turner and is survived by her children Charles Jefferson Turner and Emily Christine Turner, mother Vonice Darling, father Joseph Wieczorek, brother; Jeffrey Wieczorek, his fiancée Trina Randleas, and his children Arlo Wieczorek, Justine Schmidt and their mother Glenda Wieczorek; sister Linda Horan, her fiancé Dr. Stephen Moffitt, and her children Kelsey Horan, Zachary Horan and their father Richard Horan; Uncle Darrell and Aunt Monica Darling; Aunt Mary Anne and Uncle James Mazzei. Also, numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE and Luncheon Celebrating Nancy's life will be held Friday, December 9, 2011, 11:00am at Benson Presbyterian Church, 5612 Corby Street, Omaha. Followed by a Graveside Service on Saturday, December 10th, 10:00am at Westlawn- Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be sent to Benson Presbyterian Church, 5612 Corby, Omaha, NE 68104 or The Omaha Zoo Foundation, 3701 South 10th Street, Omaha, NE 68107
