Laura Blankenship Doyel

After high school, I went to U of A and got my bachelors in Spanish Linguistics. Shortly after graduating, I got married and my husband joined the Foreign Service to work in US Embassies around the world. We have lived in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Estonia, Canada, and this summer will move to Colombia (which is the reason I may not be at the reunion). We have a 7 year old daughter, Harper, who is the best kid ever and her sister Audrey is 4 and is the coolest kid- Down syndrome and all. It is a crazy life to move around the world with two little kids in tow, but so far it works so we keep doing it.

Lots of places- every country in Central America, Western Europe, Finland, Vietnam, Thailand, Prince Edward Island in Canada...

I've loved being able to build community wherever we have moved. We have loved each place we have moved (Canada being the best, by far), made great friends, and found a church in each place. Now since Audrey was born we get to be in the Down syndrome community in each country which is a unique way to be connected.

My parents moved to Tucson 5 years after we graduated high school so I never come to Page anymore but I do have great memories being there and our teen years spent in a tiny town that give you such a different perspective of the world.
